Still got questions?

Below are a few of the most frequently asked questions we’ve received. Please call when you’re ready to discuss your project and we can answer all your questions.

We draft plans- Permit and Construction-ready- for renovations, additions and new homes.
Of course! We’ll take a look at your property or home, noting all of its unique features. Then we’ll talk. And talk some more. We’re great listeners. And we’ll present ideas to you as we go along. Then we’ll head off to “the drawing board” (so to speak) and draft preliminary designs to present to you. You’ll be surprised how quickly and easily the ideas will start to flow.
We are well-familiar with the zoning bylaws and the “Development Variance Permit” process. We can act as your agent or guide you through.
Certainly. We frequently handle applications for clients.
Absolutely. We only work with capable builders. Over the past 10 years we’ve had the pleasure of working with a dozen or so local contractors in whom we have developed the utmost confidence. We can provide references from former clients, making it easy for you to do your “due diligence”. We can also provide information on other things you need to be aware of, like the Homeowner Protection Program and how to ensure your builder has insurance and is covered by WorkSafe BC.
Yes, the services of our interior designer are available to you. Whether you just need a bit of ”coaching” so you can have fun doing it yourself, or whether you need her to make all your selections for you, we can assist.
We work with a select group of structural and geo-technical engineers when necessary, to ensure your home will be structurally sound.
We’ve had projects up and down the Columbia Valley, including Panorama. We’ve even sent plans to Qualicum Beach, B.C.!
Since all of our work is custom, each project is unique. Typically you should allow 1.5 - 2% of your budget for design work and plans. We would be happy to meet with you, review what you have in mind and provide an estimate.
